There is a small distance between us, an activated space. Details so clean, barely a shadow. Mine would be rolling around, spinning but also a finger space away from something better. Each one whittled away to another man’s rules. Sitting in weighty, sun ripe skin I fall to the bottom and have little use for moral energy. Carved out all the meaty parts, all resting on one fleshy point, bound to boundless earth. I found a way around myself, I laugh in color and these dry bones come close to breaking. I’m not sure who is worse.
