Lauren Whearty received her M.F.A from University of Ohio, Columbus in 2011. Fellowships include but not limited to, Ellen Battle Stoekel Grant to attend Yale's Norfolk Summer School of Art (2006) and The Vermont Studio Center Residency (2013). Whearty currently teaches in the Continuing Education Departments at both The Tyler School of Art and Hussian College of Art in P.A.

'Lauren and I were studio mates at The Vermont Studio Center in 2013 - a brutally cold February month and a church converted to a studio allowed us to meet. Years later, Lauren - a true painter and wonderful friend - is someone I feel fortunate to have in my small but close circle.'
