'I sat for the portrait Andy Cross made of me, One Afternoon (Catherine), months ago in his Brooklyn studio. The portrait is magic and so is his work. Often working in series, Cross takes an idea and commits to navigating it to it's entirety. Neither fickle 'nor stringent to conceptual or historical ideas, paint is tool he most frequently chooses to tell his story. I am a happy consumer of his work and honored to sit for his portrait series '.
