Patrick Michael Fitzgerald (b. 1965) is an Irish artist based in Zalla near Bilbao in Spain. Educated at Chelsea School of Art London where he gained his BA, 1987 & MA, 1988 in Fine Art Painting. His paintings and works on paper are inspired by his everyday experiences and immediate environment, and transformed into abstracted painting/objects, which present all their entangled elements as a kind of total psychic entity.
His work is included in a number of important collections including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, ARTIUM, Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, Spain and Josef & Anni Albers Foundation, USA.
