Aubrey Levinthal (b. 1986) lives and works in Philadelphia, Pa. Her process generally begins with still life and figurative motifs but descends quickly into formal concerns of color and composition. This allows for a freedom in the work between observing, remembering and inventing; which she finds the most fruitful.

Levinthal received her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia and lives in center city with her husband and dog Nugget.
