What is the difference between a studio and a studio-world? A studio-world is more than a physical space, it is a world of meanings. At times when I feel disconnected from myself and my work, I find myself making paintings which locate me in the studio and ground me in the studio-world. This not only brings new life to my painting practice but works like a kind of homing device and brings me home to myself.
