McGraw describes herself as an endurance drawer and time traveler. Her recent installations include found detritus and made detritus, methodically arranged to create gallery scale fantastic and whimsical worlds, reminiscent of the Technicolor shifts of Oz. In McGraw’s work repetition and rhythm create for the viewer moments where time seems to shift, collapse, and expand optically.
