Curating Contemporary

Organized by Brooklyn artist Julie Torres, 'What I Like About You' is a continuation of last year's Alltogethernow project, in which 11 international painters attended Bushwick Open Studios 2012 to collaborate with local artists and exhibit their own work.

This year, artists return to showcase artists they met (or whose work they saw) last year. New participants who weren't present in 2012 have chosen artists that they've been following from afar.

19 artists will arrive in Bushwick to select and exhibit one piece from their chosen Brooklyn artist alongside their own work, with a brief explanation of what drew them to that artist.

'What I Like About You' opens at Parallel Art Space in Ridgewood, NY on May 31, 2013.
